picture of Haala The name Haala means many things, including "glory", "halo of light", and "halo around the moon". As her name implies, Haala dances with warmth, spirit, and just a hint of mystery.

Haala has over 8 years of Belly Dance experience and has studied with internationally renowned instructors such as Faridha Famhy of the Mahmoud Reda Dance Troupe of Egypt, Alexandra King, Aziza, Aisha Ali, Saqra, Eva Cernik, Aneena, Ansuya, Katia, Souhail Kaspar, Issam of the Bellydance Superstars, Karim Nagi of Turbo Tabla, and Tayyar Ekdeniz.

Haala is based out of Cary, in the heart of the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill "Triangle" area of North Carolina. She is available to travel out of town for special events.

Her dance style and costuming are based on the authentic forms of Raqs Sharqi (Oriental staged bellydance) as it is done in Egypt. She can also incorporate other regional styles, such as Turkish, Lebanese, Greek, Persian, Moroccan, and American Orientale into her performances. Occasionally, she mixes in Folkloric dance selections from Egypt and Turkey, as well as less-traditional elements such as candles, double veil or Wings of Isis for theatrical effect.

Haala has experience performing at: picture of Haala, Rachid Halihal, Naji Hilal, John Price, Majdi Kurd, and Souhail Kaspar.
